Day 8 (Monday, June 19)

Oh My God!!!!!!

I am an employee of The Associated Press! Wow!

I woke up real early and got ready to go meet my coworkers at The Associated Press today. I am kinda numb right now. I was in shock all day long as I remembered all the times I wonder if I would ever be Associated Press material.

I got to the office and I went to the morning meeting right away. It was fun. I met a few of the people that work in the office. Everyone was so nice to me.

One of the coolest things about today is that everywhere I looked there was a reminder that I was actually in The Associated Press office. The logos were all over the place. The cool photography was on almost every wall. It was truly inspiring to see all those great photos.

I met my coworkers and they all seem very cool. I can't wait to see how much of their talent and professionalism rubs off on me. I hope it's a lot. I can't wait.

The day went pretty fast. I learned a little about the process and the way AP photographers work. It's intense. They are my idols!

After work I came home and I did laundry. Oh yeah, my luggage finally came from the airport. It came at 4 a.m. I couldn't believe how late it got here. Luckily, I had plan B and I wasn't too worried about what I would wear. Since I finally had my luggage back, I was able to do my laundry.

I went jogging for the first time in forever. I haven't been jogging. Boooooo! I am going to have to get back into form. I can't believe I had not jogged in a while. Then again, I forget how tough this past semester was. Plus, I've been on the road these past two weeks. Yeah, I know. No excuses. This week that's changing.
