Day 37 (Tuesday, July 18)

Today wasn't as hot as it was yesterday. Perhaps a strong storm
that hit Chicago overnight made it cooler. Still, I went out
to look for a photo that portrayed heat. I thought about what
kind of trouble heat might bring. I was thinking that construction
workers probably have it bad. They are outside all day, working
hard under the beating sun. So, I decided to hit up a construction
site outside of the city to see if I can show how hard these
men work under the heat.
I wasn't too successful shooting heat because it was a lot
cooler today. Because of that, I had to try to make a photo
that showed what kind of things construction workers are exposed
to.
I hung out at the construction site for about two hours. Talking
to a bunch of men from Sinaloa and Michoacan, Mexico. All of
them are hard working immigrants who are looking to make a decent
living. Hanging out w/ them was very cool. I might have not
got the photos I needed, but I was able to make connections
and stay true to myself. These men remind me of how hard my
parents work.

After going back to the office, I decided I couldn't be indoors
on such a beautiful day. So, I went down to Millennium Park
to try to see if I could get a nice weather photo. I didn't,
but the flowers above looked pretty.
