Day 48 (Saturday, July 29)

I woke up at 7:12 a.m.

Yeah, it was my day off. But I couldn't sleep. I had too many things on my mind.

So, I got up and went for a five-mile jog. It was good, but it was tough. It was 7:44 and the heat was already at 87 degrees. No doubt today was going to be a hot day.

I came home, worked out and continued to do some homework. I'm on a roll.

Diego and I decided to grab some late breakfast at a local dive. It was good food. Then I came home to do some minor chores. I continued reading and then it was evening time.

I hung out til the late night when Diego and I headed out to Xippo Lounge again to meet up w/ some of our friends. Jorge has been promoted from playing the Sunday gig to the Saturday gig at the venue. So, we wanted to go show our support.

It was a lot of fun. But it's now 3:57 a.m. and I am tired. In six hours I shall be taking off in a plane toward New York. I should be in bed. But instead I am here giving y'all an update.

As you might have noticed, the front page reads "The Big Guapo." Hahahaha. I like making puns and it almost sounds like I am saying the Big Apple. Ha. Sigh.
