Day 67 (Thursday, August 17)
I love photography.
I was at the church til about 3 a.m. this morning. I went home
and took a small nap and I was back at the church by 9 a.m.
Today was still pretty hectic, but it was a lot of fun.

I have built enough confidence w/ the members of Pueblo Sin
Fronteras so I am able to get access to a lot of the things
they are doing. When I walked in the back room this morning,
Elvira Arellano was tying her son's shoes as she talked to a
radio station.
I took a few photos of that and then I backed up. After all,
I didn't want to invade her space.

As I stepped back. I realized that one of the small angel
statuettes near the door had been knocked over. So, I got down
low and made an image that shows Elvira Arellano and the angel.

I then continued hanging out and seeing what sort of things
would happen today.
The cool thing about today is that Dolores Huerta was around.
As you know from reading my journal from a few weeks back, Dolores
Huerta is one of the most important immigrant activist. She
fought along side with Cesar E. Chavez.
Three days and the story keeps on growing bigger and bigger.
It's getting a lot of national attention.
