Day 71 (Monday, August 21)
I started the day by going over to a church. No, not the Methodist
church were Elvira Arellano is. But to a church were a large
African art piece is on display.

I was going to meet w/ a few of the 120 people that worked
together on the art piece.
I tried to be as creative as possible being that there weren't
many people coming by to see the piece because it was a Monday.

New week. New approach. Things are going to be different this
week because I wont be able to spend as much time as I want
to at the church. For example, today I decided it would be wise
to finish up all my home work for the week.

So, I sat in front of the computer writing a 10-page essay
that is due on Wednesday. I figured I would get it done early
and then have more time to focus on the Elvira Arellano story.
Just as I was polishing up my essay and getting ready to submit
it to my online professor, my cell phone rang.
It was Brenda.
Yeah! Wow! She and I have not talked in such a long time. More
than a year, to be precise. It was good to catch up and hear
what she's been up to.
We talked for a little while and then I got back to business.
My final essay is now complete. I am done w/ all my school requirements.
I am finally getting my degree. Woohoo!
