Day 54 (Fri., Nov. 4)

I don't recall if I have ever mentioned this, but I hate shooting photos in malls. The people in malls hate having their photos taken. The owners of the business do not wan the photos of their products shot. But still, we the newspaper must shoot photos at the mall. Grrr!

We are working on a special holiday edition and since being at the mall is very indicative that the holiday season is almost here, I had to go there. I walked around the mall for two hours trying to make art photos of people shopping. It's not easy. The mall is just a hard place to shoot. Perhaps my preconceived notion of it all gives me a road block. It sure did today. I was uninspired at the mall.

So, there I went shooting all kinds of photos of people shopping. Sometimes the job of a general news photographer is not full of action. But these are the things we must do in order to become well-rounded journalists.

So, there they are. A few photos of the scenes at the mall. Not that great, huh? I wish I was inspired today.
