Day 58 (Tues., Nov. 8)

It seems as hurricane coverage is going to go on for a while
longer. Today I went to a local middle school that was transformed
into a Red Cross shelter. I was there to shoot photos of the
volunteers. The first photo is of a volunteer from New Orleans.
Talk about having a close connection w/ the victims of Wilma?

People are struggling and they are w/o a home. It's hard to
see it. But I am hoping the stories and photos allow for officials
to see the magnitude of it all. These people need all the help
they can get.

On a lighter note, I headed to West Palm Beach to the offices
of Radio Fiesta, a local Spanish language radio station. The
station has been very active in hurricane relief. Not just Wilma,
they raised more than $15,000 for Katrina and were very active
in raising funds for victims of hurricane Stan in Central America.
I am not a fan of large crowd photos, but today it worked.
Every one in the 13-person station (one person was not in the
office when I shot the photo) had a key role in the relief efforts.
