Day 65 (Tue., Nov. 15)

Now that's more like it. Last week I pressed a lot in trying to make nice images. I tried too hard to be creative and it didn't happen. Yesterday I was in a zombie zone.

But today I snapped out of that. Perhaps it was because I was given a cool assignment to work on. Shoot a 16-year-old bicycle champion during practice. OK!

I was lucky to get the guy to pose for me for a as long as it took to get the right photo. I worked a few angles and then let him be himself. I had great clouds, so things were happening for me. It's easy to get creative when things flow so naturally.

I played around w/ light, composition and shutter speeds. It was fun. Today I went home excited for having a productive day.

The only thing that would have made the above photo more powerful would been a third rider. That way the three palm trees would have made sense.

Oh well, you can't have it all. At least today I snapped out of my boring approach to work. I believe I was pretty creative today.
