Day 75 (Fri., Nov. 25)

So, today I explored Key West.

Going to Key West was pretty cool because I had a chance to watch the Texas vs. loogie football game in which the Longhorns won over their biggest rival 40-29. After watching the game, I headed over to Ernest Hemingway's home. I got the tour of the place and got to hear all the anecdotes of Papa Hemingway while he lived there. It was really pretty cool to be in the place where my favorite writer once lived. How cool is that?

Here's the place where it all happened. The above photo is of Hemingway's writing studio. He spent about five hours every morning doing some writing. Then he would get out and go fishing. Wow! What a life?

Hemingway's home is known for the many cats that lived while Ernest lived there. Today, there are 43 cats, which are relatives of those who once lived at the home. The cats are so cool and they don't mind getting their photo taken.

The sun came down and it was time to go home. During our drive back to Ft. Lauderdale I stopped in Islamorada to try some of that very famous Key Lime Pie. It was pretty good.
