Day 81 (Thrs., Dec. 1)

Sometimes you are asked to do assignments that simply seem
boring. It's hard to stay focused and not have any preconceived
notions when going out on assignment.
The first assignment that I had to do today had to do w/ a
story on how people in the community of Lighthouse Point are
mad that bigger, two-story mansions are being built next to
small homes. It's blocking the light, the wind and it's making
the one-story homes look ugly.
Today I was worried that I would not have an appealing photo
to go w/ the story. So, I shot the above photo. I used symbolism
in it and I hope you got it. If not, I could explain. It's a
photo three homes taken from inside the second story of one
of them.
The view out the window is of a one story home next to a two
story one. If you got my message, there's a thing going on here:
a small home is sandwiched between two bigger homes. Got it?
Cool.
I got access into the home by talking to the men who were building
the new home. So, it is always good to talk to people when on
assignment. It's also good that I spoke Spanish, because these
men (who are from Mexico) were able to talk to me in their language
and they helped me out.

I was getting ready to pack my bag and leave the office on
my way home. That's when I was asked if I was on my way to my
evening assignment. I was confused. I had an assignment and
I wasn't aware of it. Good thing I found out before it was too
late.
So, I headed out to a local park where young girls were practicing
soccer. I was there in time to get some photos before they finished
practice. I guess it was cool that I showed up late. It gave
me an amazing twilight look. The colors of the sky were amazing
and I was able to use that for my advantage. Cool.
