Day 100 (Tue., Dec. 20)

Yesterday Miami had national news. A small plane crashed on Miami Beach and 19 of its 20 passengers had been found dead. The other one, as of today, remained missing. The crash happened yesterday. Today I was instructed to hang out on the beach and wait for officials to pull wreckage out of the water. I hung out at the beach for seven hours and finally got a photo of a piece of the plane pulled out.

While I waited, I took a photo of a surfer talking to his friend. The surfer said he was in the water near the place where the plane landed. He spoke of how lucky he was that the plane didn't land on him.

The day went by quick but it felt long. I spent my workday at the beach -- Miami Beach. Sometimes this career's too good to me.
