Day 28 (Tue., July 5)

I only shot one photo today. Seriously! I only shot the above
photo. I did not shoot a single shot before or after this. I
saw the squirrel on top of the shed as I drove around the neighborhood
looking and searching for story ideas. If it wasn't because
I saw this scene off the corner of my eye as I drove on Avenue
P, then I my camera would have gone completely quiet today.
The day started really stressing. I overslept in Fort Worth
and headed out the door to make the four-hour drive to San Angelo
about four hours before my shift started. During the drive,
I came up w/ a shortcut while reading my road atlas. That was
great. I got home 20 minutes earlier than expected, which gave
me enough time to shower and get to work. I walk through the
door at the office exactly at 1 p.m. and I was glad I didn't
show up late. It was a fun drive back. Since I did it in the
morning, I got a chance to check out the scenery. Sad to say,
there was not much to see. Except for a few small towns I drove
through. Winters seems to be a cool (pun intended) place to
go back and check out. It's a small town about 50 miles from
here.
That's about it. Today was a nosy day. I had to walk up to
people in the neighborhood and talk to them about their lives
and their way of living. I met a lot of great people and you'll
get to meet them once I start working on their stories.
