Day 47 (Sun., July 24)

Today I was surprised by my 24-year-old sister's email. She sent me a photo of Anais Rebecca, her 1-year-old. Isn't she pretty. What a smile. Ha! It totally made my day. Well, almost. If she would have attached a photo of her twin brother, Nestor Xavier, then I would have been completely happy. Still, a very photo indeed.

Funny, yesterday I talked about no two days being alike in photography. Woops. Well, today I didn't have much work but I wanted to be productive. I could not simply just sit behind the desk and stare at the computer. So, I headed out to the lake again. This time, they were having the wakeboarding championships. The paper did not cover the event, but I thought it was a good idea to go out there and see if I can improve from yesterday. I think today's photo has more impact than yesterdays. I guess that's the good thing about photography, you'll always have a chance to redeem yourself. Not that yesterday's photo was bad, but it was my first time. And if you don't learn from going to something for the first time, then you've wasted your time.

I spent a lot of time there. I did start the day by following around that 15-year-old religious girl. I did for a while, then I headed to the office and sat there for a lil while. During my lunch break, I went to church the same way I did a week ago. Wow, going to mass makes me feel so good. Not a bad way to spend your lunch hour. After that I changed clothing and went to the lake. I had an awesome time riding the waves on the cool boat. I appreciate the help of event organizers that allowed me to ride on the boat for most of the day. Had great photos because of it. Thanks.

After work, I decided to keep up my running. Tonight I ran three miles for the third consecutive day. I think I am finally over that lazy bump. We'll see how long that lasts. Well, tomorrow I start a new week. Wonder how much I will learn this week.
