Day 57 (Wed., August 3)

Two hundred ninety-seven miles of fun. That's how much I drove today during football tour. I love it. I had so much fun today. I enjoyed the road, football and photography. What more can I ask for.

They day started with a trip to Brady, which is known as the "Heart of Texas" because is right down the middle of the state. It was cool going there because everyone at that school was so well prepared. The kids all knew what to do, the coaches were very helpful and the early morning light was beautiful. Too bad I was just shooting mug shots, there was great light out there this morning. I followed by driving to Llano, which is pretty close to Austin. So close that I almost got sidetracked. Haha. Just kidding. I was enjoying my day of work, I couldn't be sidetracked by anything.

I continued my trip down to my third and final school in Mason, Texas. Wow, talk about a pretty town. That place was nice. Even the Lutheran church had a Masonic look to it. I loved it there. Being on the road is wonderful. I get a chance to think about life. I have been thinking a lot lately about a certain decision that I must make soon. Keep posted to learn more about it.

It's funny, today I told a lady at the medical center where I went to get a check up that they day was long but short. I started my tour at 7 a.m. when I hoped on Highway 277 on my almost-300 mile round trip. I worked 11 hours, but it only felt like three minutes. I love this job. The only thing bad about the trip today is that since I have been to Austin and Houston so many times this past two months, I had already driven by the first two towns. I would have loved to explore new lands the way I did when I went to Mason. That was new and fun. Tomorrow I have an earlier day when my tour begins at 6 a.m. I drove through the towns where I am headed on Monday on my return from the Texas Hill Country. Well, at least tomorrow I get to stop and see the towns a little more. Wish me luck.
