Texas Journal -- Part II:
Standard-Times Internship

Day 59 (Fri., August 5)

Kids are wonderful. They are great to photograph. Everyone loves a good kid photo. And it's because of that reason that my photo editor says "kids are easy".

Today's assignment involved going to a local church, one of the thousand churches in San Angelo. It seems as though there is a church of some faith at every corner. Almost like the way there are Starbucks in Los Angeles. The children have been practicing a musical play for their parents all week and today was the day to show off what they've worked so hard for. The photo above is really cute and it shall run front page of the local section tomorrow. I love the exposure I have been getting in San Angelo. About nine out of 10 photos have been in color and on the front page. That's a great thing. I got so many clippings that I can take home and show off.

Today was very light since football tour took a lot out of the staff. Next week I will be working on another big section that we are working: back to school tab. I love all the projects that we are working on. It makes it interesting.

Since I had a light, short day. I went home and cleaned my apartment from wall to wall.
