Day 1 (Sun., May 30)


We drove ALL DAY!!!! I met up with Salvador Hernandez (a friend from Cal State Northridge, who got the reporting internship with Al Dia and quickly alerted me of the opportunity. So, without his help, I wouldn't have been here) at the 405/10 freeway intersection and headed east for 1,510 miles. During our journey, which began the day before at 10:30 p.m., we traveled through Arizona, New Mexico and most of West Texas. It has been a goal for me to once see Texas and now I had the chance. On this pic, I am at the New Mexico-Texas border near the Texas town of St. Anthony.
