Day 13 (Fri., June 11)

Caption: A look at Ameriquest Field, formerly known as the Ballpark in Arlington, is the home of the Texas Rangers.

I should be banned from any Major League Baseball stadium. At least as a fan. I am a huge Los Angeles Dodgers fan. But as a fan, I have gone 0-43 in games. I have never seen a Dodger victory in person as a fan. As a photographer, I am 3-3, so the odds are a little better. But still. Today, I thought that would change. I went along with Arianna, Jay (AKA Fuzzy, more on that later) and Sal (next to me from left to right on the bottom pic) to the Texas Rangers vs. St. Louis Cardinals baseball game. I figured my bad luck was only as a Dodger fan at Dodger Stadium. But I was wrong. The home team lost. The Cardinals, minus two players that got ejected for bad conduct, beat the Rangers 12-7. I guess I should not go see baseball games as a fan from now on. At least for the home team's sake. Hey, that gives me an idea. Go to Dodger games when they are away!!!!! Great, I found it. Now I will finally see a Dodger win live as a fan. We'll try that later this year when I go back to L.A. Or when the Dodgers come to a city near Dallas. We'll see how bad of a luck I am now. Today at work was good. I ran the show. Bobby Sanchez, the photo editor, was still on vacation. Sharon, the staff photographer, had her day off. So, it was up to me to run the show. I went to the meetings, made the decisions as to what we were going to shoot, and went out to shoot the assignments. Nothing too exciting as they were just normal assignments. But still, I ran the show. I'm proud of myself. I finished the day at the Rangers baseball game. Then went home and cleaned up and headed out to Lazerz2010, one of the local clubs with Sal. It was nice to see Dallas people party. Quite frankly, the same as in Los Angeles. Only thing, this club was open til 4 a.m., and L.A. clubs close at 2 a.m. -- boooooooooooooooo!!!!!
