Day 19 (Thurs., June 17)

Caption: Saul Herrera, who works for as a body shop specialist
for a major car dealership in Irving, is one of few immigrants
who will go to his hometown in Zacatecas, Mexico, to vote in
the upcoming state elections on July 4. He is an organizer that
has helped to build roads that connect his town of Sombrerete
to other towns in Zacatecas.
Today I had just one assignment. I had to go shoot Saul Herrera,
an organizer who is traveling to Zacatecas to vote. The day
didn't have many highlights as it was very slow day at the office.
I did not do much. I can't really write much because I didn't
do a great exciting thing today as in other days. However, the
day wasn't a waste. I started to put the ball rolling on a few
photo story ideas that I have. Keep posted to the Dallas, Texas
Journal to see how these story ideas develop. I don't want to
give out too much information, but let's just say that I have
come up with some very tough ideas and a lot of planning and
good execution will only make this work. So, stay tuned and
you'll see how I make these stories happen.
