Day 31 (Tues., June 29)

Awwww. The wonders of having three days off. With time off cooking has become a great pastime. Today, I wanted to explore again and try a different cooking recipe. For breakfast I tried cooking something Ana Gutierrez once explained how to make: French Toast. Now, I never wrote the recipe down because she just explained it to me once. So, I put my memory to the test and luckily I remember it. So, that's what I had for breakfast today. Later, I decided to do a little Dallas downtown exploring. Staying in the artistic mode of the past few days, I decided to go and finally see the Dallas Museum of Art. I have been wanting to go to this place, but it's closed on Mondays, and those were the only days off I had in the past few weeks. The Dallas Museum of Art was very inspiring. All kinds of works including Aztec artifacts to contemporary paintings were seen. I spent a few hours there trying to learn a little about art. Afterwards, I decided that I finally check out a place that I have been meaning to go to: the Cathedral (below). This cathedral is one block north of the Dallas Museum of Art, so I couldn't go to the museum and not pay a little visit to this church. Going in there made me realize I have been missing out a lot. I am usually pretty good about going to mass every Sunday. Lately, I have been busy and/or lazy and I haven't gone. I better get my act together and go to mass on Sunday. The day ended up doing some grocery shopping, cooking some more and watching a movie while the rain poured outside my window.
