Dallas, Texas Journal:
Al Dia
Internship
Day 63 (Sat., July 31)
The photos are coming. I don't have them. They belong to Lynn
Nguyen. She took the role of photographer tonight. Some of the
Al Dia staff members took Salvador and I out for a night on
the town. The reason, well, technically, our internships end
in two weeks and they wanted to have some sort of going-away
gathering. They took us to Salsa and Merengue dancing at a club.
I have to say that I am not a good dancer, but apparently I
am from what Dallas Morning News interns Lynn and Hollie had
to say. I think it was because Al Dia Librarian Carolina bought
me a shot of tequila and all of a sudden I had nicely coordinated
dancing feet. Hey, I'll take that compliment any day being that
I have always been labeled as a "stiff dancer". Well,
I think I did well. I could tell on the way Liz was looking
at me at the dancefloor. She wasn't embarrassed to be dancing
with a guy with two left feet. So, either she was blind tonight,
or I was just moving well because of the tequila. Either way,
I still take it. I know there are some good photos out there
and they will be posted as soon as I bribe Lynn. Let's just
hope she turns them over because there is a photo of Salvador
in a very compromising scene. Keep posted, photos will be up
soon.
