Dallas, Texas Journal:
Al Dia Internship

Day 64 (Sun., Aug. 1)

I know what most of you will say when you read what this journal entry is all about. I know you'll be saying "Liz, Liz, Liz..."

Yeah, so what. I am about to write about Liz again -- I don't care what you think! Today I went to church finally for the first time since being out in Texas. I had been a bad Catholic this past eight weeks and I had not gone to church. Ok, fine! I did go to church on Day 31, when I went to the Dallas downtown Cathedral. But, today I went to actual mass. Whew, I am glad I finally got to go. Now I have a church to go to and, perhaps, someone to go with. Can you guess who that might be?... If you thought Liz, then you're pretty good at this guessing game. Man, she's the coolest. After partying til almost 5 a.m. last night, I went home and took a 1-hour, 15-minute nap before waking up to go to church. Liz and her family took off on a one-week family road trip to Mexico this morning and they wanted to go to church real early so they could get on the road soon. So, I went to church, met her parents and helped her with the final packing preparations. Among the stuff she took was my road Cookie Monster. I figure this road Cookie Monster has been to a lot of different places in the last three months, so it would be a good idea that CM would visit Padre Island in Texas and Monterrey in Mexico during the following seven days. CM's that kind of friend, he loves being on the road. So, I know he's happy wherever he is right now.

Since today was a lazy day, I decided to act as if I was working and went to the second part of the Mexican Soccer League tournament games held at the Cotton Bowl. I shot the above photo from the Monterrey vs. Cruz Azul game. I think it was a good photo. So, I think I was pretty productive during this day off.
