Dallas, Texas Journal:
Al Dia Internship

Day 79 (Mon., Aug. 16)

When I first started this journal, the goal was to keep family and friends updated on how my internship in Dallas, Texas has been like. Now, 79 days after I left home, the journal has become quite popular with references made to it at the dinner table, e-mails among the interns, family members back home, teachers, classmates and even by coworkers at big Al Dia staff meetings.

The photo I put today was actually taken yesterday. I thought it was very cool. I was trying to check the site and see how it looked after updating it. However, it said "502 Connection Failed. This web page could not be opened. there MAY BE TOO MANY PEOPLE ACCESSING THIS PAGE or the page maybe unavailable. Please try again later." Well I know for a fact the page was available, so that means there were too many people looking at it. VACANA! (COOL!) I'm famous!

Anyways, I took that photo yesterday before coming back from Houston. I just got home and I am too tired and I am going to bed. Come back and read what happened to me today. Thanks.

The rest of today was really fun. Salvador and I were invited to go to Bonnie Dangle's home to have dinner. We were both encourage to bring a guest, so I brought Liz with me. Salvador invited someone, but she was busy working so that person could not make it. Having dinner at Bonnie's was great. In the photo above Bonnie's doggie wanders around the kitchen as Bonnie gets ready to serve us some dessert. She made a delicious dinner and an awesome dessert that I couldn't help but get seconds on both. I guess I got some heavy running to do tomorrow to work all that food off. Thanks Bonnie. You have been so good to Salvador and I from the moment we met you over the phone when we were trying to get the internship. We do not know how to thank you for making our time in Dallas so easy. Your guidance and tips, along with all your generosity, is greatly appreciated.
