Day 81 (Wed., Aug. 18)
I did nothing today. Well, technically I did a lot of things,
but none were photo-worthy. I did my usual running in the morning.
I went to the office and sat there for eight hours. I had to
file all my photos from the first day I worked here til yesterday.
I had not send my photos to our archives and I had to do it
today. It was a long and tedious process, but it's done.
After work, I just went home and invented a new salad. I think
I'll call it "Texas Garden Salad". It was good. Or,
maybe I was just really hungry since I forgot to eat all day.
But nonetheless it was good. I talked to Salvador and he said
he was stuck in Arizona because he had a minor car problem,
but that he took care of it. Actually, I just called him right
this minute and he is just getting into California -- that lucky
dog!!!! I wanna be in Cali, too. I think I am sort of home sick.
Who knows. Tonight, I chatted online with my mother for the
first time ever. That's an awesome feeling. I started thinking
about how life has turned on my family. Fifteen years ago we
lived back in Mexico State, Mex. and there were no indications
that we would be living the type of life that we now live. Now,
in 2004 we communicate via cell phone quite frequently and we
chat online -- WOW!
Anyways, I wish there was more I could write about, but there
really isn't. Oh yeah, actually there is. I am getting a new
camera soon. I will be getting a top-of-the-line camera body
by early next week. Since my two cameras broke down this summer,
I have been using my bosses camera and I have just fell in love.
Well, I was able to come up with a deal and I will be getting
one soon. So, in this quiet day like today, knowing that I will
have a new toy to play with pretty soon is very exciting. WooHoo.
