Day 7 (Monday Sept. 13)

I will let the photos and captions speak for themselves. Enjoy.

Woke up and wanted to be daring. The hotel I stayed at, which was a block away from Times Square, had a fire escape ladder. I woke up daring and I went. Of course, I had to take Cookie Monster with me. Hey, if I fall, at least I would have someone with me along the ride.

Twelve stories up at my hotel and I am on the fire escape. I must be crazy.

Yup, I am crazy! Only a crazy man would go up and down the fire escape 12 floors up even when he is afraid of heights. And even more of a crazy man will take pics while he is about to die.

St. Mary's church on 46th street and 6th.

Coney Island. Cool!

I belive they shot a Salt-n-Pepa video here at Coney Island once. Might have been the "let's talk about sex" music video, but I can't remember. I do remember they had guys in speedos. Nothing's change since the early 90s, it looks like.

Cyclone at Coney Island. A legend.

In an email, Tina asked me to take a pic of a hot New York guy for her and put it on the site. Here he is. I know he's hot, cuz some girls were talking about him when he was hitting the balls on the batting cage, which I also did -- hmm, wonder what they said about me. Anyways, I was on the phone with Tina and I was able to put him on the phone so she can ask him to be shot. He laughed and said cool in his New York accent. Hey Tina... enjoy!

Good job of the people following directions at a subway stop.

That woman, not sure if she's Jenny. And not sure which block she lives on. But just like J-Lo, she's "on the 6th" subway train, that is, as the song goes.

Getting ready for a big Italian celebration at Little Italy. The empire state building is in the background.

Only in Chinatown you will find such a great hand-made suvenier of New York.

Brooklyn Bridge.

I walked so much. I got just as good a work out like this lady and her dog running on the Brooklyn Bridge.

Empire State Building on the left.

Now, a few self portraits. Hey, I gotta have some pics to show my grandkids someday. Here I am at the D subway to Coney Island.

Me a world famous Nathan's. Tina said it's the best hot dog place in the world. That I should have a hot dog when I got here. I had two!

Me on the East Coast. Wow, ocean water. Looks like the Pacific. I flew all the way here to see the same? Ha. Still cool, though.

Me at a different Nathan's. This one on the board walk. Hey, I had to have a third dog.

Me on the Brooklyn Bridge.

Me on the Brooklyn Bridge, again.

Finally, I had to file some photos of the trip for my school newspaper. Here I am at the Hotel lobby. Now, I guess New York people are totally rude. I was on my knees working on a photo for the Sundial and the lady (who, by the way, was a mailman -- yeah, yeah... I know it's mailcarrier to be political correct, but just because she was rude, she's named a mailman) who would not sit straight and pull her legs off the second part of the couch to allow me to sit. Now, that's rude. Thank you maam. You've showed me that the myth is right.

That's all. I had a long day. I had a lot of fun. Will visit new sites tomorrow. Keep posted.
