CORTEZ PIC(S) OF THE WEEK

|
June 25: I went out to follow my coworker Charles Rex Arbogast to an assignment. He was shooting his photos as I just stood in the background looking at how he does his job. I was there assisting him w/ a few lights. He moved over to shoot a photo of his subject as he checked email on the computer. I stepped back to make sure I stayed out of the way. That's when I saw a cool angle. The mirror in the bedroom of the subject was reflecting the city's skyline in the background. I shot a few frames and showed it to Charlie. He liked it and made some shots himself. He pointed out that I had a slight blemish on the photo and he made it better. That's when we both realized we had a lot to learn from each other. I got to see the minor details like the blemish that he saw. He was able to see this assignment through different eyes. It was a successful learning experience for the both of us. That's what this internship is all about -- to learn! |
Other Pic of the week selections

Cortez Pic of the Week -- This section will feature a photo that will highlight what the previous week was like for me. The idea is to show what my lens saw and how my applied techniques made it work. Some photos, if not most, will have some sort of technical flaw, which I will observe for the following week in hopes of improving. Sometimes the photography will feature what I thought about before, during and/or after the image was made. If you have any thoughts, concerns, tips or just want to laugh at me; please let me know by e-mailing me your thoughts at JulyThePhotoGuy@aol.com |
