Nutty Kids
(Dedicated to sweet, caring Kendy)
Two kids went to the park
She was light skinned, him dark
They walked and looked around
Not too sure where they were bound

Squirrels ran and played
As it quickly became a cloudy day
Then the nutty idea popped into mind
To have the furry animals eat from one's hand

So the journey began right then
On looking for a meal to feed them
The snacks were salted and not so perfect
But they still got them without regret

Her soft pink lips pucked up and made sounds
She spoke squirrel and he was dumbfound
She made a connection and quickly one came
But he moved quick and scared it, what a shame!

Others tired to play the take-away game
But only one got all the glory and fame
Although it didn't take it from her soft cold hand
It achieved it's goal and quickly became "the MAN!"

What was wrong with the little critters?
Or was it the fault of the feeders?
Who knows why the squirrels didn't eat
Perhaps these nutty kids had the wrong treat.
